AIDA International is the Worldwide Federation for breath-hold diving, established in 1992 which manages and oversees the recognition of records, organizes competitions, and sets the standards for freedive education. Since 1993, AIDA International has officiated 249 Official World Records (dd 01-09-2011).

minimum 3 persons
maximum 12 persons
knowledge of basic English is required
REMARKS;
I would like to remind that this course is a requirement for becoming a Level E Judge.
Level E Judges are mandatory for competitions to be recognized in the AIDA Ranking List.
An E-Level-Judge is also allowed to work as an Assistant Judge at world record attempts.
An E-Level-Judge is allowed to work as an Assistant Judge at higher ranked competitions.
The course will principally be held in English.
Athletes are welcome to attend the course - this could be your competitive advantage.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE COURSE YOU MUST;
Be at least 21 years old
Have experience as an athlete, coach or safety freediver at an official AIDA competition
Have a current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Be member of a National AIDA
THE COURSE SCHEDULE IS AS FOLLOWS;
Introduction to AIDA philosophies (1/2 hour)
Theory on AIDA Regulation (6 hours)
Theory on Recognition of Records (1 hours)
Theory on the surfacing/end of performance - (1 1/2 hours)
Theory on the Internal Operation and Procedures for Judges - (1/2 hours)
Theory on dispute resolution and the AIDA Disciplinary - Commission (1/2 hour)
Theory on disqualifications, penalties and sanctions (1/2 hour)
Theory on the organization of a competition and technical issues (1/2 hour)
Practical application on time, distance and depth determination (2 hours)
Practical application on the judgment of time and distance disciplines (2 hours)
Practical application on the judgment of depth disciplines (2 hours)
Practical application on in-water rescue procedures (1 hour)
COST
198 Euro, plus a 50 Euro fee to be paid direct to AIDA.
(15/10/13 this equates to £170 + £43 = £213 total)
